How it all began

For years Tammam has been working towards creating zero waste collections and only selling what is needed, but conscious that the lives of many crafts people within the industry depend on consumers buying fashion we know buying nothing at all doesn’t work for people or economies. One Dress was developed to support female artisans while creating very little product - in order to ensure work for artisans, words, which are embroidered onto the dress, can be bought instead of new garments. One Dress is an experiment - in collective couture, sustainability & exploring the idea of the value of fashion emotion.

Art -

The art of t

extiles has always been synonymous with women, often as a practical craft, and far from being purely aesthetic. One Dress promotes women’s rights in the enchanting medium of haute couture.

Story -

One Dress tells the story of the women who have contributed skills, words and materials to the dress. By adding a word to the dress you are supporting women and crafts, you will be part of women's history.

Inspired by the portrait of Christabel Pankhurst by Ethel Wright.
