You get to own an embroidery on One Dress - PLANET. You won’t have it physically but it will be yours, meaning you are part of the collective who created the dress. There is also an option to buy a twin embroidery which will look the same and be sent to you as a patch.

If you choose to buy the twin embroidery, this will be sent you in the post.

Your name (or the name of the person/people to who you dedicate the embroidery) to will appear on a register, along with the name of the embroiderer and information about the plant species that has been embroidered.

You’ll get VIP access to the finished One Dress in the UK and on tour across the world in 2025.

Artisans will be credited fully as collaborators. We work directly with all artisans and ensure they are treated well and paid fairly.

One Dress: PLANET is being created with Stop Ecocide International, an incredible organisation, which is driving the global conversation around a new law of ecocide to protect the Earth.

Making less and creating consciously ensures One Dress is regenerative - giving back more to the Earth than it takes out.

One Dress is about transparency. The proceeds from the embroideries go to various places. For example when you spend £50 on an embroidery this is how much everyone gets:

The completed One Dress: PLANET will be revealed at a catwalk show as part of the Tammam 2025 collection during London Fashion Week.

One Dress: PLANET will spend the next year touring the globe, becoming a focal point at climate conferences, events and COPs - ensuring ecocide is top of every agenda. 

Anyone who has contributed to the project will be invited to VIP viewings to see the dress.

The under dress is made of 100% organic fair trade certified cotton, a stock fabric left over from our past collections, which was initially purchased as a surplus material from one of our partner producers in India who have FLO and GOTS certifications.. The corset has a 100% cotton coutil interlining and steel boning and eyelets - we created the corset as part of a training program to pass couture skills on to young stitching technicians.

Embroideries are made of surplus, reclaimed and vintage yarns. Mostly they are 100% cotton (with the exception of a few vintage yarns which we are not sure about). The embroideries are backed onto offcut cotton fabric.

The "leaves" of the skirt are made of a fabric developed in partnership with our incredible weavers - the Kanhirode weavers co-operative, in Kerala, India. Hand woven on traditional looms the weaving uses only (wo)man power, we have used a unique mixture of organic certified cotton, regenerative cotton from Raddis and Tencel Luxe yarns.

The prints on the skirt are created with Air Ink - an ink made out of air pollution.
